In Reply To Type Rs will dominate a road race course.... posted by Grec (East Bay, CA) on August 17, 2001 at 12:09 PM

Message The ONLY advantage the Type R has is less weight. A simple increase in a TT's power level, say Stage 3, is more than enough to compensate. You forget that the Z is a TRACK car at heart, it was made for this stuff! Plus, the R is FWD, the Z is RWD; RWD is more beneficial on a road course. Sure, a Type R will usually win at an autocross, but not even there always. A high speed road course lends itslef more to the Z.

"Slow in, fast out!"

Any idiot can drive fast; what makes a driver good is the ability to screw up and still save it...
